Marine tools
Proper maintenance of marine tools is essential to prevent corrosion, extend equipment life, and ensure reliable performance in harsh saltwater environments. Here are some key tips for looking after marine tools:
- We recommend rinsing salt water off tools to prevent corrosion and rust, and drying fully before storing for a long period.
- Moisture is one of the main causes of rust. Wipe tools dry immediately and allow them to air dry completely before storage.
- Keep tools in a clean, dry toolbox or storage area. Moisture absorbers or silica gel packs can help reduce humidity.
- Check tools frequently for signs of rust, wear, or damage. Early maintenance prevents bigger issues later.
- Keep cutting tools sharp to maintain efficiency and safety.
- Do not store wet ropes, chemicals, or batteries alongside metal tools, as they can accelerate corrosion.
