My dad got this for me as a gift so I could learn marlinespike seamanship, of which it has been very helpful. The steel is cast finely and the only noticeable edge is the pointed tip. Good size in the hand. The sheath is sewn well and the leather grips the marlinespike firmly and gives me no worry of its coming free. Get it with the sheath so you don’t stab yourself.
